I have worked with a variety of institutions, art advisory consultants and private collectors to create commissioned artworks.  These projects have ranged in scope from large scale public installations to private installations of artworks. The studio is open to accepting commissions for a wide range of environments.
Hayward Resturant commission
Located in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, James Beard award nominated chef Kari Shaughnessy has opened a brand new remarkably beautiful restaurant serving extraordinary food and wine sourced from local farms.  I was commissioned to create artwork for a hallway that would tell the story of the entire team who has worked to bring this dream into reality.  The meticulous design of the restaurant has a southwestern vibe.  I created a mosaic of hundreds of historical family photos and played them in a desert setting under the stars at night.   The environmental mural tells the story of connection and love.  It invites guests to tell their own stories about how we all got to be together at this place in time.
Tatara Fire mural commission
The Columbia Museum of Art commissioned me to create a mural in connection to the commemoration of the burning of Columbia at the end of the Civil War.  The artwork is composed from altered text of the names of landmarks and buildings lost in the fires, as well as altered text of the ancient Japanese forge called a Tatra used to make sacred steel.  A transformation through fire that symbolizes loss and rebirth after tragedy.  The mural is 11 x 26 feet and is on permanent display in the museum's atrium.
Shingane 12 commission for Manhattan law firm
Shingane 12 ultrachrome inkjet on aluminum 42.5 x 120 in. 2015 is composed from a series of paintings composed from altered text about transformation through fire.

Plumb [Sidewinder]  uv polymer on aluminum 57 x 37 in. 2025 was commissioned for collectors who wanted to include altered text about the environment such as Utah species of flowering plants, weather conditions and the names of Utah landforms in and around Deer Valley, Utah.
